Tips Before Buying Laptop with a Low Budget for 2010
Looking for the right laptop but on a tight low budget? Yep I’ve been there and you are not alone. In 2009, a lot of laptop comes in and out of the market. Expect a lot more this 2010. With this situation, lots of manufacturer also drop prices to lead the competition which makes them affordable. That’s a relief for consumers with low budget.
When you only have a low budget for laptop, it doesn’t mean you will also get a low quality machine. With proper research, guide and patience, you will have a bang for the bucks laptop without investing too much money for it.
Here are some Tips Before Buying Laptop with a Low Budget for 2010:
What is it for? – Asking yourself first what will be the things you want to do once you have a laptop is the very basic thing and crucial as well. If the softwares you have in mind are not that heavy, a single core CPU will do but if you think you need more then settle with a dual core CPU. Forget quad core, you’re on a tight budget remember?
Laptop Size – people have different taste when it comes to laptop size. Some prefer 10″ laptop, some prefer the typical 14″. Personally, I prefer the 14″ screens, aside from work it is perfect for entertainment yet it is still easy to bring along.
Invest Time – never rush on buying a laptop when you are on a tight budget. You can’t invest a lot for money, why not research further when you already have an idea what it is for and what size you prefer. With proper research, you can compare prices, specifications and select the top 3 contenders of your choice.
Double Check the Specifications – I have to emphasize this since hardware specification matters a lot. In the long run all of it matters especially the battery. Also consider at least a 1.5GHZ CPU and 1GB RAM will do.
Don’t Go with Operation System Bundles – laptops with OS bundle are way more expensive because you also paid for the license. If you have a current OS, maybe settle with it for the meantime and think about upgrading the OS later if you have a budget.
Brand Name/Looks can be Deceiving – don’t just look at the manufacturer name and its looks. Believe me a lot had experience this. A good brand name and looks only to find out its performance sucks big time. Again aim for the specification first before looks.
I hope this helps for consumers out there with a low budget, again you don’t need an expensive one to have a good quality specifications. There are lots of affordable laptops out there escpecially this coming 2010. All you need to do is find them.
