Remove Your Leg Scars

March 29th, 2011

Legs are one of the most visible or exposed parts of one’s body. Having scars on this part of the body is a nightmare –and has always been mine. I do have scars on my legs that have been with me like forever. They were old scars that no matter what I do –or maybe haven’t really done much– they just won’t go away. They were mostly insect bites and some are from injuries as a child. If there’s anything so frustrating about having them, that would be no other than not being able to wear shorts, mini skirts, and other above-the-knee-length dresses –which is what being a girl like– whenever I want to.

Skin scars are fibrous tissues that naturally occur when someone’s wound or injury is on a healing process. It replaces that layer of the skin that is damaged when injured. Of course, the size of the scar depends on how worse the injury was. Most scars, when disregarded, remains on the skin for a very long time and sometimes remains permanently.

On the other hand, when well taken cared of, it can be gotten rid of. Success in removing scars on the legs and other parts really just depends on your effort; on how badly you want them gone and out of your life. Apparently, removal of scars doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes time and one’s patience to take effect.

Most scar removing means such as Vitamin E, body scrubs, whitening creams and lotions, natural means such as salt and lime are available in the market. Sometimes, you have to find which one works best for you. And when you do finally found it, make it your life! As removing scars doesn’t happen overnight, it is pays to be very consistent when you do the treatment. If directions says “apply daily, in the morning and before bedtime”, do it ’til it sucks the will dry out of you! In the end, you’ll be the one to tell yourself that it’s all worth the time and effort.
