Nokia Booklet 3G Mini Laptop Review

Nokia Booklet 3G Mini Laptop Review

We have known Nokia as the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world but now they have evolved and entered the computing business as well. Technically, Nokia already produced personal computers way back 1980′s but it was sold in 1991 to focus more on mobile phone production.

After two decades, the company is back to the computing business and their first product to offer is the Nokia Booklet 3G mini laptop. They prefer it to be called mini laptop rather than a netbook. Check the specifications below, I hope reviews will be positive on this one:

  • Atom Z530 processor
  • Windows 7
  • telecommunications support via SIM Card
  • HDMI port
  • Wi-Fi
  • 3G
  • An SD card reader
  • A-GPS and maps integration
  • A Webcam
  • Bluetooth
  • a 12-hour battery life

I believe the highlights for this product is its 12 hours battery life and the telecommunications support via SIM Card. Texting and calling via mini laptop? Nice. Nokia Booklet 3G Mini Laptop will be available in stores on October 22, 2009. Same launching date for the Windows 7 since it will be bundled with it. The good news is it can be your for only $299, but the bad news is the compulsory two-year AT&T wireless contract for $60 per month. If you’re not happy with lock subscription, Booklet 3G’s unsubsidized price will indeed be $599. Holy crap!

Early review for Nokia Booklet 3G Mini Laptop have been positive and I’m confident this product will shine and will be competitive enough to the already crowded competition.
